Debating Society

The Debating Society is one of a number of extracurricular activities available to students at Dominican College and is currently supervised by the Division of Social Sciences.  While participation in the Society does not currently earn semester hour credits toward one of the college’s degree programs, the club does provide students a positive, nurturing forum in which to develop critical thinking skills and effective communication skills as well as leadership and social enrichment opportunities.  Membership in the Society also provides students on a volunteer basis the chance to compete in intercollegiate debating tournaments as part of the Public Forum Debate League.

For information about the Society or upcoming debates, contact Dr. Chris Libertini, faculty advisor, or click here.
