FULL-TIME FACULTY POSITIONS
Assistant Professor - Social Work
Dominican College in Rockland County, 20 miles north of NYC, invites
applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor
level in the BSW program commencing August 2014.
include teaching 12 credits per semester, advising students, and participating
in student mentoring, field liaisons, community development and/or engagement,
and other college-related activities.
Demonstrable experience with CSWE accreditation standards (i.e. EPAS and
Self-Study process), assessment of student outcomes, and evidence of
research/scholarship is preferred.
Qualifications: Advanced MSW and/or Ph.D. in Social
Work or related field. Individuals applying without a Ph.D. should have 8-10
years post MSW experience and some teaching/staff development training
experience. Individuals applying with a
Ph.D. must have an MSW from an accredited CSWE institution with at least two
years post MSW practice experience. The
essential skills for the position includes experience in teaching at the BSW
level, especially in social work generalist practice, social welfare, social
policy, and research courses, scholarship, service to the university and the
community, other-faculty-related duties, and the ability to work

ADJUNCT FACULTY POSITIONS
Communications/Media Adjunct Position
Dominican College invites adjunct faculty applicants to teach media courses for the Fall 2013 semester. Candidates would teach one (or both) of the following courses: Introduction to Mass Communication and Computer Mediated Communication.
Required: A master's degree in a related field and prior teaching experience. Candidates for the Computer Mediated course should also have evidence of strong computer skills and working knowledge of social media. Experience working in/with the media is preferred for either position.
