  • Instructions About Abstract Submissions and Presentations

    Abstract Format 

    Papers may be submitted for presentation at the meeting either as a platform (oral) presentation or a poster presentation. The preference must be indicated on the abstract submission form. There are a limited number of oral presentations, so we might not be able to accommodate your preference if the number of submissions exceeds the number of available slots.   The deadline for submission of abstracts is April 1, 2013.  Each abstract must be no more than 2300 characters, including punctuation and spaces. The abstract must include the name of all authors, title of presentation, and institution.

    If two students attending the conference are presenting together, only one students needs to submit the abstract, although both students will register separately.

    For example: 

    Geiman, Anna M. Mu Iota.  Northern Kentucky University.  Evaluation of methods to test common skin antiseptics.

    Antiseptic hand sanitizers were tested for effectiveness using the Kirby-Bauver disk method……….

    Platform Presentations 

    Each presenter will be allotted fifteen minutes for the presentation and three minutes for questions and discussion. Please make sure to bring your presentation on a PC compatible disk or memory stick. 

    Poster Presentations 

    Dominican College will provide easels for display of poster presentations.  Please bring your own support materials for the poster so that it can be displayed on the easel. It is recommended that posters be no larger than 4 feet wide by 3 feet.
