Seminar Objectives

  1. State the foundations of oral motor development as well as the impact of oral motor functioning upon development. 
  2. Identify the developmental sequence of oral-motor and self-feeding behaviors in the typical population. 
  3. Identify considerations with regard to oral motor development. 
  4. Recognize when the symptoms of oral motor dysfunction/feeding problems are present. 
  5. Identification of specific problems and how to proceed with the intervention process. 
  6. Identify helpful tools and strategies for addressing positive oral motor/feeding behavior outcomes.
