The 29th Annual Dominican College Benefit Golf Classic a warmly received success: It took over 200 bottles Gatorade, but even the 100 degree temperatures could not deter this committed group of 112 golfers from finishing the historic Minisceongo course. The classic was held Monday, June 9, 2008, and was enjoyed by the large and hearty crowd.

Dominican College senior Brian Mackey wins NCAA Division II men's golf super regional: On May 7, 2008, Dominican senior Brian Mackey took first place in the NCAA Division II men's East/Northeast super regional played in Delaware. Mackey finished at 9 over par in the third round of play bringing his overall score to a 222.

County Executives speak about the state of the region and issues of government in Rockland, Westchester, Orange and Suffolk Counties: On June 11, 2008, The Palisades Institute of Dominican College hosted the fourth annual County Executives Forum. The Honorable C. Scott Vanderhoef, Rockland County Executive, was joined by The Honorable Edward Diana, Orange County Executive, The Honorable Steve Levy, Suffolk County Executive, and The Honorable Andrew J. Spano, Westchester County Executive.

Mr. Davoren discussed the impact of “green building practices” not only on the construction industry, but on the environment.

Dominican College students to participate in Catholic Relief Services HIV Action Team: Blair Holz-Larsen and Zureai Goodwin, Dominican College freshmen, have been selected to participate in the Catholic Relief Services College Leaders Action Team. They will attend a week long training in Atlanta, Georgia to learn about HIV and the Church's response to the disease.
