Social Work Student Advocacy Research E-Journal Launches
The Social Work Department is pleased to announce the launch of the Social Work Student Advocacy Research E-Journal. Director, Paul DuongTran founded this journal as a medium to develop students' conceptual and writing skills, and to stimulate passion in social advocacy.
This scholarly project is collaborative with Director of Social Work Field Education and Director of Gadol Community Resource Center, Bonni Raab serving as Co-Editor along with two others.
Of the journal DuongTran says, "I have created an internship for an English-major student and a voluntary BSW position who will serve as staff interns. This E-Journal is unique: undergraduate and graduate (MSW) students contribute to the writing and the anonymous peer-review of paper submissions. Each peer-review group will have one faculty or practitioner and three students. Reviewers have academic or professional affiliations in more than a dozen universities or agencies and four countries.
The goal is to publish 3 to 5 high-quality manuscripts in the spring and fall issues.
