In June 2012, Raymour &
Flanigan, a family-owned furniture retailer founded in Syracuse in 1947,
announced its decision to establish a new regional distribution center in
Rockland County. State and county economic development agencies worked together
with Orange and Rockland Utilities to make Rockland County an attractive
location for their expansion.
Their purchase and renovation of the
900,000 SF former Dress Barn facility in Airmont will bring jobs and other
benefits to the county. The new facility will serve as the regional
warehouse and distribution hub for the company's retail stores in the New York
Metro Region, as well as portions of New Jersey and Connecticut. Raymour &
Flanigan is the 5th largest furniture retailer in the U.S. with stores and
showrooms in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut,
Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
The Palisades Institute is pleased to
welcome Bryan Bach and Roger Osborne to speak at the next Executive Dialogue
breakfast. Mr. Bach is Vice President of Operations and Customer Care and Mr.
Osborne is Vice President of Regional Sales. Both were instrumental in the
decision to expand in Rockland County and will oversee departments in the new
operation. Please join us at the: Raymour & Flanigan Executive
